‘Guardian Council should feel free on qualifying candidates’

TEHRAN - The Iranian Judiciary chief has said people who take seats in the next Majlis should enjoy “psychological health”.
In a meeting with the members of the Civil Development Committee of the Majlis, Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani also said the Guardian Council should be left free to do its job of qualifying candidates, Nasim reported on Tuesday.“Some currents are trying to pressure the Guardian Council into approving their candidates. They say they will introduce so large a number of candidates to the Guardian Council that it would have to qualify some of them. That is not a good approach,” Larijani stated.
